This is not going to be particularly helpful but I have now used it on a number of cues to see how it goes in my work flow and and I am just loving it.
I can tune notes easily to match my sequences, tighten things unnaturally easily to make organic percussion sound hybrid, wet things, dry them up etc with minimal hassle.
I am beginning to notice if I load a bunch of patches in K5 my logic sequence will begin to sputter a little…this is not reflective of LADD though as it happens with many other libraries.
If you come out with a light version of patches it might be helpful in case of big loads of course.Craig SharmatBlockedSeptember 20, 2014 at 5:23 pmPost count: 14
Thanks for the explanation!
Both options work for me.
The thing is if I am in the heat of composing it would be nice to have the patches pre-configured so I am not having to do 4 or 5 button assignments to get there. Yes I could just customize all the patches I want but of course it is easier if it is done for me….Craig SharmatBlockedSeptember 19, 2014 at 11:25 pmPost count: 14in reply to: LADD Initial Thoughts and Feedback #49499
It changes as you move the cc (real time)
also check my edit on the previous page, I added some things.Craig SharmatBlockedSeptember 19, 2014 at 10:39 pmPost count: 14in reply to: LADD Initial Thoughts and Feedback #49497
Really digging it!
On many loops I wish I could slow down tempos to half or 2x them depending on tempo.
Heavyocity incorporated that with a MW slide and it was incredibly useful. I also wish I could just click on the radio buttons on and off per example on length and dynamics etc.
OK a few more things after playing through all the patches.
1. My favorite percussion library though I have not put it into an actual cue but just playing patches it certainly is a few levels beyond anything else.
2. How much fun are those pads.
3. Tubular Bells and glock and probably a few others seem low in volume compared with other patches.
4. Dynamic Rolls on Timps cut off too sharply.
5. On the Timps I wish there was a mic control as it can get boomy (that’s great for somethings).
6. The lack of mic control may in general be a cause of complaints.
If i missed some things because of not seeing it or forgetting it on the vids, sorry but there are a few hrs of vids.Craig SharmatBlockedSeptember 19, 2014 at 8:47 pmPost count: 14in reply to: Dowload confimation and stats #49591
