    Hi Ethan,

Hmm… it’s hard to say definitively what could be causing these problems for you.

After the first problem occurs (no audio)… if you save the multi and reload it does everything go back to normal? That is, does the problem get saved into your projects? If so, can you send me the NKM: [email protected]?

In regards to the AA rules getting reset, could you be triggering the AA Keyswitches (by default starting on notes F6 and above)?

    Regards,
    Sebastian

    Hi there,

Thanks for the response, I shall follow your advice if the audio issue happens again. As for the AA keyswitches – I didn’t know that and it is certainly possible I accidentally did that!

    Many thanks,

    Ethan

How much resources you use depends on your system specs. Please look here on how to include these in your signature : http://audiobro.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=1652

Can i ask what you mean when you say you opened a second instance of Kontakt in standalone mode?

I have my specs in my signature – do you need more info than that?

I opened Kontakt, loaded my V1 patch, then opened another instance of Kontakt, loaded the V2s etc. I am pretty new to Kontakt, so I could be doing this all wrong…!

Thanks again for your help – especially on a sunday! Very kind.
I tried to run it in standalone, but for some reason as soon as I add a second instance of Kontakt, if I press one note, the whole thing locks up and repeatedly plays the same note, even if I press the panic button, wont stop until I shut down the second instance of kontakt.

I should just say, running nothing in reaper but the five instances of Kontakt, each with 4 articulations and the shaws redemption preset, it goes up to about 30% – does that seem right? (Before I had it as part of a template).

    Thanks again

Ah you responded whilst I was editing my post! I added more information if it helps…

I’m not geting any pops though anymore, I slimmed down my template (removed the sordino patches) and it seems to run pop-less, so then if I wanted to run more articulations in these instances, would more RAM or a SSD or both be the best answer?

Thanks again, things starting to make sense!

Very many thanks for the help.
    – Have looked at the monitors – the Disk one keeps hitting 100% on the first run through then barely moves on the following playbacks.
    – Looking at the engine information, CPU is going crazy, but it says under misc. “DFD usage 0%” – not sure if this means anything?
    – If I set the stage/colour settings to dry then I am back peaking at 34% CPU…

So, a couple of follow up questions –

    – Is there a way to only run one instance of the reverb/stage but route it to all instances? Would that make any difference?
    – Will doubling ram and getting a SSD help me run these 5 instances without issue or, if it is a CPU issue, not at all?

    Thanks again for your help.

    Ethan
