    But isn’t that the same as just using MIDI volume or even expression? Is there a difference doing swells with either volume, expression or modwheel (apart from the modwheel advantage)?

    Oh, just noticed you did answer WHY they did it that way. Ah well, I personally would have done it the other way around: velocity via keys and gliss/port legato via modwheel.

    Oh thank God. Thanks for that guys!
    Can’t say I like that though. I usually draw my velocity quicky after a performance but this way it will take a lot longer for me.
    I don’t quite understand why they did it that way or is there a technical explanation for this?
