in reply to: LASS 3 Autodivisi and vhord voices #82919
yes I completely agree. I understand though that wanting to perform a five notes chords with only one section is very uncommon. But still I’m really curious about why it is still possible :)
Hello Andrew, Sebastian and every one at AudioBro.
Well What Can I say…outstanding Job!!!! It’s unbelievable and really inspiring.
Congratulations.Thanks very much.
in reply to: Using Program Changes in logic #33546I would like to add that program changes works very well on any channel for i don’t use external controller for now.
in reply to: Using Program Changes in logic #33542Hi Sebastian,
I guess i know why i didn’t understand the whole story, it’s beacause i don’t use controller I directly draw notes with mouse so that would mean I won’t have to deal with this channel 1 issue? It’s even more true that my initial problem is solved now by uncheck the no resest box in the inspector related to the channel instrument.
It works well now.
Thanks again for all the tips!!
in reply to: Using Program Changes in logic #33540Hi soulofsound,
So does that mean you won’t be able on any instrument audiounit you would load, there would be no possibilities to switch patches using program change for each channel one?
If i understand correctly; working that way leads you to only have 15 channels available? Thanks again for your help,
Regards,
Nicolas
in reply to: Using Program Changes in logic #33538Maybe this topic would explain some “low soundings”
I’ll let you know.
I’d still buy any information that tells where to set program change channel on Logic 9 ;o)
Thanks again
Nicos
in reply to: Using Program Changes in logic #33537Hello Andrew,
Thanks for the tip.But does that mean that it’s impossible to program change any instrument bank slot assigned in midi channel 1? Therefore the bank and patches in kontakt have to begin in channel 2?
For i’m a very beginer in Logic would someone let me know where i can change the sending of program change?
Thanks very much for the help.

Nicolasin reply to: Fast runs and portato #33113Hello Sebastian, Hello Andrew.
Thanks for being so fast and for all the tips.
I can’t wait for those new multis….. best news ever!!!I don’t understand very well the utility of delay and humanisation but i guess those are very needfull tools…
Do these particulars functions have to be used systematicaly on every patches or maybe especially on legato / sustain patches?
Thanks again keep up the wondrous work.
Best regards
Nicolas
in reply to: Fast runs and portato #33110I kind of understand the only way to play fast legato licks is to changes values on the legato tweak pages… is that correct?
Doses somebody have favorites settings to have realistics fast legatos? Thanks everyone.
Best regardsin reply to: Drag and drop #32335Hi
I try to “manipulate” the issue in several ways and here are the news :I updated to Kontakt 4 few days ago and I wanted to inaugurate the instrument bank and the possibility to switch between patches using program changes.
When I set the program changes controller to have the good patch (articulation) switching at good time, the problem happens almost imediatly when i play the track on my daw (cubase 5 studio).
If I want to check the patch which does not sounds (or at a very slow volume to be perfectly clear) after stopping the playback; the patch sounds pretty normal and issue disapeared.
If I don’t use program changes or stay in just one patch (for example staying at progam change n° 1 or 2) no problem at all; it seems that this is the program change channel and its automation which trigger low volumes or cutoff volumes.
So i’m back using one channel per articulation for now but i’m very dispointed not being able to use program change and minimizing midi channel on my project.
Sorry If my english is not clear
Best regards,
Nicolas
in reply to: Drag and drop #32332Hello!
The problem still happens… I’ve just load a violins LP patch, one minute there was OK and the other no sound… the patch plays no sound, i have to reload it to make it works…
I don’t know where this come from.
Maybe cubase?Best regards
Nicolasin reply to: ART re-triggering #32359Ok Ok, That’s what I meant by “De-activate” ART : not pressing the Sus pedal.
Thanks anyway
regards.in reply to: ART re-triggering #32357Hi Andrew,
Thanks again for your helpSo If I wanted to play fast arpeggios with staccati or spiccati, i would only have to deactivate A.R.T is that correct?
But if in my lick there are some repetitions (maybe two or three notes) does it worth the pain to activate A.R.T just for theses few notes or does that make more sense to just deal with the staccato settings of the patch (random note, accents..) and let A.R.T deactivated?
happy Holidays!

Nicolas
in reply to: ART re-triggering #32354Hey Andrew;
Thanks for the tip
Would you use ART if you wanted to play fast apreggios?
Cheers;

Just one correction
in reply to: ART re-triggering #32349Hi Richie, Hi Andrew,
Is this possible with ART to play rhtmic pattern which are not based on the same note?
I just can’t figure how to build that kind of pattern without dealing with polyphony issues (if i let one same not playing with ART what happen if i trigger another note during the first one? there would be both notes playing at the same time?Regards,

in reply to: Is there Polyphony? HELP! #32168Hello
I was thinking about polyphony and wanted to know if that was “correct” in terms of instrumentation to doing chords usings sections.
A section is made for example by 3 players, does that make sens to double or triple the voices with the exact same section with the exact same players when you can double it or triple it using differents sections?
I guess that’s what LASS is made for? That leads to another question concerning A.R.T; when i want to make repetition (on given section) of the exact same note how can i alternate one different note with the repetition?
For example with 16th notes : CBBBCBBBDBBBDBBB etc.
Shall I begin the first C without ART and then activate it for the next BBB notes and desactivate for the D etc….
Because if I Let the ART during this pattern the B doubles each times with the C and then the D etc.Very difficult to explain, i would totally understand if this sounds like a big mess.

in reply to: Drag and drop #32331addendum:
It happens too on patches who had worked correctly when i first load them : no sound for no reasons…
I’m afraid of a midi conlict.
I don’ know what to do, this is very ennoying.
If anyone has an idea
Thanks by advance

Nicolasin reply to: Drag and drop #32330I spoke too fast i Still dont have any sounds from time to times when i first load a patch. I have to reload it several times before getting any sounds…
:cry:in reply to: Drag and drop #32329Like a french Columbo i try to investigate and i think it has to do with my master keyboard which kept on sending midi data without control.
It pertubed big time my kontakt instance.
I save the multi and turned out the instance. I relaucn a beand new instance, things seem to return into normal…Could i let you know on this thread if any weird comportments come again?
Anyway thans and sorry to have made the forum explode these last few days.
